The last two weeks have been Holiday Spirit Dress Up days for staff and students! It has been a ton of fun to see what everyone has come up with for the different themes. Remember Winter Break starts at 11:30 Dec. 18th. Students resume school Jan 7, 21.


Huge congratulations to Mira! She passed her Calculus Dual Credit Challenge exam which means she now has a high school and college credit for Calculus.

We would like to Congratulate Mira, Ethan, and Jeffrey for passing their State-wide Dual Credit Criminal Justice Exam on Friday December 11. These students will have college credit that they can use towards their future college degree. Also we are proud of all our kids that come to school and make a difference in these challenging times. Ripley High School Student Council provided Christmas for 5 children from the Carl Perkins Center. Over 125 gifts of clothing and toys were collected from students and teachers to help fulfill Student Council’s angel tree items.

On December 8, the Lauderdale County Board of Education discussed the school operating calendar and voted to keep the staggered, odd/even schedule through the month of January. The school board will weigh the decision again in mid-January to determine when schools should return to normal operating schedules with all in-person students present.

Wayne has done an extraordinary job reviving the RHS water garden and signs on the campus! For his Eagle Scout Service project he redid the whole water garden area, cleaning and re mulching and revive seating. He planted plants around the front of the building and repaired and refreshed the sign and the memorial stone by the flag poles.
