Today was favorite book character day to celebrate Read Across America Week. On Wednesday and Thursday it’s Cat in the Hat Day. Dress as a Dr. Seuss Character or wear your favorite hat. Fern from Charlotte’s Web, Herimone from Harry Potter, Beatrice from Shakespeare, Nancy Drew, and Waldo.

With the ACT test date for RHS Juniors approaching, RHS Teachers will provide an afternoon of review for our students. Please see the attach flyer for the schedule. Also, students will be excused from afternoon sports for this event.


Tuesday March 2nd is ACT Test Day for Juniors. All juniors, including remote students, will report to school by 7:40 am. See the attached flyer for the schedule for the day. There will be no checkouts due to the testing and registration.


The Counseling Office and our Dual Enrollment Specialist have teamed together to present to our 9th -11th graders Registration and Dual Enrollment opportunities. The sun and warmer temperatures improved road conditions a great deal today, but it looks like we will need at least one more day of warmer temperatures to insure safe travel. Schools will be closed again on Monday, February 22, 2021.

With additional snow falling on already treacherous roads, there will be no school in Lauderdale County for the remainder of the week. Schools will be closed on February 18 & 19, 2021. Please stay safe!

As a reminder..... Schools are posting online review and practice assignments for students for the remainder of this week. Teachers will also check their Google classroom messages, in the event students have questions or need help. Online work will not be new learning but will be focused on practice of skills previously learned. Schools will move forward with the online, evening lessons (targeted learning series), which started in February. Schools have posted additional details on their website, mobile app, Google classrooms, social media, and by phone. Stay safe!

Students, while we are out for weather please check your google classroom and email for review assignments posted by your teachers. If you need help with an assignment you can email your teacher or asked them through your google classroom. While review work is not for a grade, any makeup work that was previously due will be graded as usual.
