Beth Choate, LPN from TCAT Bells spoke to the Nursing Classes about the Medical Assistant Program offered. The class is 8 months long, and students will earn a certification in CNA, Phlebotomy, and EKG. This course is also a bridge to the nursing program offered at the TXAT for those who may not know for sure if healthcare is the right career choice, or for those needing help with reading comprehension skills prior to taking the nursing class. Students may use their Tennessee Promise Scholarship for this course. The next class begins September 2021.

Students in TCAT Welding at RHS have been hard at work this year learning and creating.


April 20 students from Ripley High School attended the Virtual African American Leadership Conference at the Board of Education. Students of Mrs. Sharon Morris, representing the choral department of Halls and Ripley High provided the entertainment. Mr. Byrd treated the students to lunch at Emilee’s after they performed along with the students that attended the conference.

Lauderdale Co Health Dept will be coming to RHS May 3rd and May 4th for administer the Covid Pfizer Vaccine to any student 16 and older, whose parent or guardian gives them permission to receive the vaccine. Thursday April 22nd and Friday April 23rd your child will bring home forms to be reviewed and signed. Please return these by April 28th or April 29th. English 1&2 EOC Part 1 will take place Wednesday (4/21) and Thursday (4/22) during 1st block.

Cap and Gown pickup will be May 10th from 9-11 a.m. in the lobby of RHS. All balances must be paid in full in order to receive the cap and gown.

Students from Mrs. Robison’s Vet Science Class went to visit the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter today. They saw firsthand the effects of overpopulation. Great students and a great learning experience!


Progress Reports were given out to Odd Day students today. Even day student will receive theirs tomorrow and Remote students can be picked up in the attendance office.
