Lindsey Smith, AWARE Director, and Hope Childs, AWARE social worker, presented a donation to Samburg Assembly of God on behalf of Lauderdale County Schools. This donation supported ongoing relief efforts following the December 2021 tornado that affected Lake and Obion counties.


On May 4th and 5th, the leaders of FCCLA and HOSA took 58 students on a team building field trip to BRIDGES, USA in Memphis. BRIDGES believe great leaders, regardless of age, must appreciate diversity, engage in courageous conversations and help build productive relationships. RHS students learned to step outside their comfort zones and seek out diverse perspectives. They also focused on other critical real-world skills like communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.

The Lauderdale Co. Chamber of Commerce is hosting an end-of-year Spring Carnival May 18th-21st! The Spring Carnival will be at the Lauderdale Co. Fairgrounds in Halls. A nightly selfie contest will take place so be sure to post yours for a chance to win a free ride bracelet!


Get ready to read this summer! LCS is participating in @GovLiteracyTN’s Early Literacy Foundation’s K-3 Home Library program. Rising 1st through 3rd graders will receive a pack of books delivered right to their mailbox—at no cost to families! #StoptheSlideTN #BookersBookClubTN


Ripley High School’s faculty, staff, and especially the students would like to thank the community and sponsors for making the Class of 2022 Scholarship Awards Day a huge success! Today about forty donors were present at our awards day to gift students with thousands of dollars in scholarships. Students were also recognized for credits earned in dual enrollment classes, money rewarded through Hope Lottery Scholarships, and TN Promise. RHS Beta Club is recognized as a School of Distinction and Merit!


RHS Scholarship Day


RHS would like to spotlight our Take Note Choir students! This group of students have done an excellent job showcasing their talent at different events in Lauderdale County and surrounding counties. Recently Take Note was invited to the West Star African American Leadership Conference in Jackson, Tn where they entertained some of west TN’s leaders. Take Note also performed on the Lauderdale County square during National Prayer Day and a two members had solos at the Miss Ripley Pageant, Saturday, May 7th!





Mrs. Coons and Mr. Poole’s Art classes visited Dixon Gallery and Gardens on April 29th. Students enjoyed viewing the inspiring exhibits and beautiful gardens!





On April 28, 2022, Ripley High School Beta Club inducted 50 new members. The new members began participating in service hours with the club in February of this year giving the club a total of 130 members for the year.
This school year RHS Beta Club served in the school and community for over 2700 hours. S. Parmenter was recognized as having the most service hours for the club.
On April 28th, new officers for the 2022-2023 school year were installed. Outgoing officers were recognized with medallions to wear for graduation and include: President – M. Goodman, Vice President – T. Carney, Secretary – R. Nelson, and Treasurer – B. Rubio.
Incoming officers are President- T. Carney, Vice President- J. Bates, Secretary – M. Chauhan, and Treasurer- A. Rogers.

Rising Freshman (current 8th graders): See the information below regarding a mandatory bridge camp this summer to prepare you for high school and beyond! Information will be sent home and put in the Class of 2026 Google Classroom for students to complete their registration.

Student Council recognized Mr. Byrd for National Administration Day. We appreciate you!


School Nurse, Anita Michaels, taught Mrs. Angel Ferguson’s class about blood borne pathogens and how to remain safe when dealing with these situations. The class had the opportunity to practice using PPE safely and how to remove PPE after cleaning up.
