Reminder: Students who are assigned to odd days for in-person learning will report to school on back-to-back days next week (August 31 and September 1). They will also attend school on September 3. Students assigned to even days will report on September 2 and September 4.

RMS families: In order for students to remain hydrated throughout the day, RMS administration will allow students to bring bottled water to school. Water bottles must be sealable and should not have open lids (such as Yeti cups). Water bottles must also be clear and can be disposable. Only water is permitted in classrooms and hallways. Soft drinks and other beverages may only be consumed during lunch and must be disposed of at the end of lunch.

Ripley Middle School students who are enrolled in remote learning for the first grading period may pickup academic work packets and workbooks on Monday, August 17. Unlike our work given in the spring, academic work packets and workbooks provided this fall will be returned and graded. When arriving, families will follow the driveway around the school and stop at the 600 wing for pickup.

Attention RMS Families: We will distribute information next week regarding your child's scheduled day to attend school in-person (even day or odd day) along with additional academic schedule information. Please make arrangements to drop by the school to pick up your child's information. All registered students will have information that will need to be picked up. Families who have not returned 2020-2021 student registration packets will be able to return these at this time.

Please don't forget... Lauderdale County Schools will have drive-through registration on Monday, July 13th, from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm and Tuesday, July 14th, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at each school. Registration packets may be returned to your child’s school Monday, July 20th, from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm and Tuesday, July 21st, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

The Tennessee Department of Human Services announced financial assistance is available for families who qualify for free or reduced school lunches, through the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program. Parents who already receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits currently, do not need to apply. The funds began arriving on the EBT card they already use beginning June 12. Parents who do not receive SNAP benefits, but whose children do qualify for free or reduced school meals, will need to apply for P- EBT online https://tdhs.service-now.com/. The application period has been extended through July 13, 2020. Individuals who need assistance completing their P-EBT application or have general questions about the program are encouraged to call the TDHS hotline at 1-833-496-0661 and select option 3.

2020-2021 student registration packets will be made available for drive through pick up at each school. WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO PICK UP AND RETURN YOUR PACKET DURING THESE SCHEDULED TIMES.
