We extend our gratitude to Pastor Jones and the Forerunner Baptist Church, as well as our community, for their contributions to the Communities In Schools Food Pantry at Ripley Middle School.

STEM scientists investigated magnetic fields by experimenting with magnets and iron filings. We learned about Thomas Edison and his inventions. We found out that electricity starts in a power plant with generators that use magnetic fields to generate electricity. Students observed and asked questions to guess what our mystery machine was - it was an alternator!

The RMS Tigers Art Club meets on Tuesdays after school.  Artists learned about Graffiti and drew their names to add to our Graffiti “I am Grateful” Wall. They will be used on their art portfolios to hold their art work this year.

See below for information regarding the Fall Dance! Dress code is casual, nothing fancy needed! Just make sure you are school-appropriate 🙂. Students must have their ID and be clear of any fees/fines to purchase a ticket during lunch!

Mrs. LaKenia Jones, Communities In Schools Program Manager, and RMS staff extend our sincere appreciation to Cash Saver in Ripley and its valued customers for their collective contributions to the recent food drive, which significantly benefited the Communities In Schools Food Pantries located at Ripley Middle School and Ripley High School.
