On January 19th, 2020 The Tennessee Sports Writers Association released its’ 2019 All-State Volleyball Team, and for the third straight year Senior Laynee Dew was on it!
Laynee is the daughter of Michael and Fran Dew and here are some of her accomplishments:
4 times 13A All-District MVP
4 times 13A All District Tournament Team
2 times 13A District Tournament MVP
13A District All Academic Team
3 times All Regional Tournament Team
2 times All Regional Tournament MVP
3 times 1st Team All State
2 times AVCA/MaxPreps Player of the Week for the State Tennessee
Under Armour Phenom Finalist as a Junior
Under Armour All American Team as a senior
Laynee has helped lead the Lady Tigers to:
An unblemished regular season and tournament record vs. Districts opponents over the past 4 years.
3 straight Regional Championships
3 straight State Tournament appearances
First team in school history to win more than 30 games in a season.
First team in school history to win a game at the state tournament.
First team in school history to make it to the Final Four in the State Tournament.
Laynee has committed to play college volleyball at Hendrix College in Conway Arkansas. We want to wish her luck going forward and congratulate her on again being named to the TSWA All State Team!

HHS Junior Girls went to UTM-Ripley center for the ACT workshop today!

HHS Sophomores toured TCAT today learning about all the technical school offers right here in our county.




National FFA week is next week! FFA members are encouraged to dress up throughout the week with the themes shown below. The Halls chapter will also be collecting cans and non perishable food items to be donated that will “Fill our Ford” we will have parked on campus. Don’t forget to share your memories of FFA on your own social media account next week and feel free to tag our chapter’s Facebook! Also below are some ways Tennessee FFA encourages you to Advocate for FFA next week!

Mrs. Noel’s entrepreneurship class traveled to Small Cakes in Dyersburg and learned how owner Whitley Snyder operates her own business at the age of 22.
