HOURS OF OPERATION
The library is open on school days from 7:40-12:22 and 1:37-3:00. Appointments can also be made for additional hours before/after school or Saturdays.

MISSION
Our mission is to help students, faculty, caregivers, and community members meet the needs of a changing society by providing them with the necessary skills and resources to be college and career ready.

GOALS
The goals of the library media specialist are:

• To organize and manage a library program that promotes the AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner

• To adhere to the AASL’s School Library Bill of Rights (attached)

• To teach students to access, evaluate, and use information

• To provide assistance in locating and using instructional materials

• To promote instruction in information literacy to students and faculty

• To collaborate with classroom teachers to best meet the needs of our students

HHS library offers its patrons a variety of programs and services to enhance the learning environment:

• Check out books/magazines/resources

• Accelerated Reader

• Printing

• Ellison machine

• Laminating

• Access to online databases

• Computer/Internet access

• Professional development/collaboration

• Information literacy skills

• Equipment troubleshooting

• Presentation/camera equipment
