What’s that saying…you can take the math teacher out of the classroom, but not the…oh nevermind. Our assistant principal, Mrs. Narcisse, does it all. Here she is teaching slope to an 8th grade Math class and doing some Algebra 1 tutoring!
A few shout-outs today: our Math Wall of Fame has exploded! Wait…I think we just have so many awesome students. 😜 Also, Mrs. Lakenia Jones had students with perfect attendance “spin the wheel” for prizes during lunch!

The RMS Football game has been moved to tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24th. 8th grade night participants need to be at the RHS football field by 5:15 to line up!
Tomorrow (Thursday) night’s football game has been moved up to 6:00 pm.
Bus 45 will not run on Wednesday.
Students may wear an out of dress code top for school pictures this Friday.
Family/Teacher Conferences for all Lauderdale County Schools have been rescheduled for Thursday, September 19th from 4:00-7:00 PM.

Due to today’s forecast of rainy conditions, all after school activities have been canceled for this evening. Family/Teacher conferences have been postponed as well. A new date for conferences will be communicated at a later time.
Good morning parents and guardians, I am sending this message to keep you informed regarding extra police presence at Ripley middle school this morning upon student arrival. Investigators were looking into information they received about alleged comments made on a particular school bus. Investigators were able to quickly pull all students from that bus and determine the information they received about an alleged threat was false. Through video and audio evidence It was quickly concluded that the information provided was not true. That same investigation also occurred at Ripley High School with the findings being the same. Again, extra officers were on scene just as a precaution until this situation could be investigated and resolved. This investigation is evidence of a strong partnership between law enforcement and local school officials in their efforts to keep students and employees safe.
