As another semester of learning begins, we ask our families and community to join us in ensuring our students attend and remain at #schooleveryday.
Missing 2 days of instructional time each month means that students miss out on 10% of the learning opportunities presented to them. Our faculties and staff are ready to welcome our students back on Monday, January 9th!

Happy New Year! As a reminder, students are on Winter Break for the remainder of this week. Classes resume on Monday, January 9th. We look forward to another great semester!

RMS students and friends from the Animal Club collected items to help out local cat rescue group, Uptown Catz.

Students who earned their AR points for the 2nd 9-wks enjoyed a Starbooks Cafe party yesterday. The library was transformed into a festive coffee shop with specialty drinks and pastries of all kinds.




We had some visitors from RPS today! The 7th and 8th grade Band performed for Pre-K students from Ripley Primary School.

RMS Student Council presented the Carl Perkins Center with a donation (from the proceeds of our homecoming coin wars) and canned goods today!

Ripley Middle School band did a FANTASTIC job at the band concert tonight! We are so proud of our talented students!!!



Ripley High School’s steel drum band, Pan-demonium, entertained RMS students during lunch today. These students are so talented, and we really enjoyed it! Make sure to come see them at the band concert tonight!


Student Council representatives spent the morning building and decorating gingerbread houses with students from Ms. Byrd’s class. Fun was had by all!




STEM students designed and fabricated aluminum foil boats and tested them. They learned about oil spills and technologies used on ships and aircraft. Students also practiced reading navigational charts.

In STEM, students built chairs out of toilet paper rolls and masking tape. They made some interesting designs and used all the techniques they had been working on to make sturdy furniture models. We had lots of good teamwork!
