Homecoming is next week!!! Here is some important info: this Friday will be snack cart and pep rally to kick off homecoming week. Only students who have not received any behavioral slips since this was announced will be able to attend. Next week, we will have dress up days. We will also have our first Mastery Connect benchmark, so please make sure students are on time for school and ready to show their best!

Be Pro Be Proud is a mobile workshop giving students the opportunity to experience several skilled labor positions available in Tennessee. Students experienced driving simulators of a bulldozer, excavator, and semi truck. They also experienced virtual games at welding, lineman and construction. They even had an opportunity to play tic tac toe against a robot. Ms. Kamisha Dixon tried her hand at driving a bulldozer. RMS is grateful for the opportunities offered to the members of the class of 2031.

It’s 8th Grade Night for Volleyball tonight! Come out and support these young ladies and the entire team as they take on Covington!

Student of the Week for Mrs. Smith’s 8th Grade ELA! Macie Gray is an all around athlete. She competes in volleyball, basketball, & track. She is a member of Student Council & Beta Club. She is a very talented and aspiring scholar.

Robotics Club had its first meeting on Thursday. We started off with a blast with Water Bottle Rockets!

RMS Excel students have been creating their own mini putt-putt golf courses! To cap off their project, they even invited some golf pros (Coach Ream and Coach Crawford) to try them out.

Students who have not received any white slips, pink slips, or bus slips so far this school year will have the opportunity to buy snacks at the snack cart this Friday, benefitting the RMS Football team. Please make sure your student brings their money to school with them on Friday, as we cannot accept money dropped off for students at the front office. Thanks!
