K. Wade

Ripley High School announces that Coach Kendrick Wade has been hired as the Head Football Coach. Coach Wade brings a wealth of collegiate and secondary coaching experience to Ripley High School. Most recently, he served as an Offensive Analyst at the University of Memphis, where he helped lead the Tigers to an eight-win season and a Gasparilla Bowl appearance. Prior to Memphis, Coach Wade was the head football coach at Mississippi Valley State University, where his teams produced multiple All-Americans and earned one of the most significant wins in program history.

Coach Wade has also coached at Delta State University, Fort Valley State University, Briar Cliff University, and Mississippi Valley State University, developing record-setting wide receivers and contributing to conference championships and playoff appearances. At the high school level, he was the first head football coach at Middle College High School in Memphis, where his teams consistently finished with winning records and playoff berths.

Coach Wade is passionate about developing young men on and off the field and believes in building a program rooted in discipline, accountability, and character. He shared that he is excited about the opportunity to lead the Tiger football program and looks forward to building strong relationships with players, staff, and the Ripley community.

Coach Wade holds a master’s degree in Sports Administration and is committed to preparing student-athletes for success beyond football.
