RMS has several Veteran's Day activities scheduled for next week. All 8th grade students will be treated to a presentation by the Ripley High School JROTC on Friday, November 9 at 7:30AM. This presentation will be held in the cafeteria. From November 5-9, RMS Student Council will be partnering with RHS Student Council to sponsor a Veterans Week Fundraiser Drive. This fundraiser is to support Operation Gratitude's Active Duty Care Package Program which sends care packages to active service members across the country and around the world. It is the goal of both councils to sponsor 100 care packages. Care packages are $15 each, however, all donations will be greatly appreciated. Student donations will be collected daily during each lunch period. Community donations can be given to any RMS or RHS Student Council member or submitted online at: https://giving.operationgratitude.com/rmsandrhssca On Saturday, November 10, RMS and RHS Student Councils will be walking from the football field at RHS to the Court Square in honor of Lauderdale County's Veterans. Both councils invite students and community members to join in this walk as we support the County's Veterans Day Parade.

Due to inclement weather that is scheduled to move into our area on Wednesday, October 31, the City of Ripley will be celebrating Halloween tomorrow, October 30. The town square Trunk Or Treat will be held tomorrow from 4:30 until 6:00PM. While you and your family are out celebrating Halloween tomorrow, be sure to stop by RMS' "Enchanted Forest" Fall Book Fair Night from 5:00 until 7:00PM!

Please make note of special dress code expectations for each day of the week. We look forward to our students continuing to take a stand against bullying!
