Outstanding RMS student writers attended a writing conference today, complete with a cafe with coffee and donuts. Students participated in sessions on argumentative writing, narrative, poetry, and humor in writing.
Students wrote, collaborated, and participated in activities to build writing skills, confidence, and a love of writing. Presenters included Dr. A. Milam, Mrs. C. White, Ms. L Johnson, and Mr. D. Billings.
A special thanks to Mississippi State University - Meridian for helping make this possible, and Mr. Samuel Wiggin for planning an outstanding conference. The students and staff came away with lots of ideas for making it even bigger and better next year. We are so proud of the participation, good behavior, and writing by RMS students. We are also very thankful for all that helped provide this opportunity for our students.
