Ms. Kathy shared her knowledge of quilting with Mrs. Melissa’s homeroom today. The students were able to make real life connections with the book we have been reading “The Keeping Quilt.”

Among parents and other community members, Mr. Samuel C. Lee visited our Wax Museum for African American History Month. Mr. Lee was the last principal of Lauderdale High School which closed in 1969. He was also the principal of Durhamville Elementary School and Johnson Consolidated as interim principal. Mr. Lee is also a WWII Veteran. Thanks to all that dropped in today!

RES Assistant Principal, Mr. John Yarbrough, presented school bus drivers, Mrs. Linda Beckman and Mr. Jerry Temple, with gift cards on Thursday. RES held a gift card drawing to celebrate and thank our school bus drivers for the work they do.
