6th Grade science classes conducted an experiment using infrared thermometers and hair dryers to learn how thermal energy transfers through different mediums at different rates.

Constitution Day was Tuesday, September 17th. Mr. Alverson and the second grade class did a wonderful job!



September is National College Savings Month! Tennessee State Treasurer, David H. Lillard, Jr., shared the importance of starting to save for college, now! He also announced a coloring contest and a piggy bank give-away! State Representative, Chris Hurt, presented a school proclamation to Mr. Campbell and presented a $250 scholarship to one lucky student! Congratulations HES and kindergartner, Tabitha!!!


Mrs. Carolyn Simpson with the Lauderdale County Fair delivered goody bags to grade-level winners that participated in the fair coloring book contest this year.
