This week RMS engineers used the Engineering Design Process in STEM class to look at World Hunger. Students brainstormed how to deliver Food Aid during wartime and they made prototype parachutes to air-drop commodities such as rice and beans to Gaza. We tested our designs and made modifications.

Mr Wiggin’s ELA classes created character “basketball” cards for the main characters of the Crossover. Students then participated in a Gallery walk choosing quotes from the cards. Then students explained the significance of the quotes for that character.

This summer, a bill restricting the use of cell phones in Tennessee schools was signed into law by Governor Bill Lee. RMS believes that a cell phone-free instructional environment will not only allow students to focus on their academics but also encourage appropriate social interactions and decrease bullying. Please see the information below for the new procedures and speak to your students about these changes. We thank you for being a valued partner in your student's education!
