
Ms. Latham’s Greenhouse Management Class welcomed RHS Alumni Ms. Hannah Evans on Tuesday. Ms. Evans works in Medina at White Oak Farms. Ms. Evans shared her knowledge on laws and regulations affecting the horticulture business. Students learned about advertising, marketing, product display, and profit and loss.





LCS would like to thank the Ripley Police Department and their partners for the vehicle safety banners at our schools. As we approach a season of warmer weather and traveling, we hope all of our families buckle up for safety!



A group of our seniors spent the day at The Main Event in Memphis. These seniors were rewarded for the hard work they put into taking the ACT. This group of students either scored a 21 or higher, met ALL ACT benchmarks, or increased their score by 2 points. Way to go Tigers! #RHS


Mrs. Sandlin’s 11th grade ELA students deepen their understanding of the themes in The Great Gatsby by relating the claims in “Causes Of The Restless Spirit Of Americans In The Midst Of Their Prosperity” and the excerpt from Staying Put: Making a Home in a Restless World to the character of Jay Gatsby.





Ms. Ortega and Ms. Belton’s 3rd grade classes at HES celebrated the end of their Immigration Module with a celebration of their writing task. Students dressed up as their immigrant's country of origin and presented their writing to the class. They ended their celebration by sampling some food immigrants ate on their journey to America.





Ms. Fullerton’s 1st grade class at HES has excelled in writing their End of Module Task about their Power Forces Module. These students' writing skills are growing each day and so is the excitement about reading and writing.



Mrs. Coons Art II class worked on grid drawings to develop awareness of the balance between freedom and responsibility in the use of images, materials, and tools in the creation of original art work. Student Kiana completed this beautiful grid drawing for her midterm.


Students in Mrs. Coons Art III class studied Egyptian Sarcophaguses. Students made molds of their faces and created a mask from the mold.


Student in Mrs. Beavers Health Science Class made models of arm muscles to explore how the muscles of the body work together in pairs.


Today RHS students and student athletes kicked off their first FCA meeting. 50 students along with members of the RHS faculty and staff and community leaders met for a time of devotion and prayer lead by Mr. Greg. #RHS #AllIn





Mrs. Jackson met with a group of Sophomores at RHS to share information about our Middle College Program! The Middle College of LCS is a rigorous program in which rising juniors will be enrolled in high school and college courses at Dyersburg State Community College for their junior and senior years of high school. Upon successful completion of the course requirements, students will graduate with their high school diploma AND an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from DSCC!

Congratulations Abby Tate on being selected Beta Club February Member of the Month. Abby is a senior at RHS. Abby is also a member of the RHS Lady Tiger Softball Team. She also is a member of student council, FFA, and HOSA at RHS.


A group of RHS Band and Choir students visited Bethel University today to attend a concert by the Bethel University Renaissance Program.




Mrs. Beavers’ Health Science classes practiced their surgical skills on a chicken a chicken wing in class. Students had to identify structures of the wing to include fat, muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and skin. Students then had to note the similarities they’ve studied about the human body.

Mrs. Latham’s classes are planting flowers for the spring plant sale. Students learned about plant varieties, growing mediums, irrigation, and most importantly hard work and getting their hands dirty!
