During science class, 5th grade students made a mold and wrote predictions of what they expected to happen. They mixed Plaster of Paris to create the cast for a fossil. During this experiment, students recorded observations of each step of the experiment. Once the experiment was complete, students wrote summaries of how their predictions compared with what actually happened during the experiment.
