Monday April 22 was Dress Like A Pop Star Day in honor of our annual Pep Rally for the state testing that begins tomorrow. We had many special guest that came to wish our second graders good luck on the test!
The Soil Conservation Office came to Miss Jessica Shaver’s room today to talk about Earth Day and plants.

The National Association of Elementary School Principals, and the American Federation of School Administrators have declared the week of April 8-12, 2019, as National Assistant Principals Week to honor and recognize the contributions of assistant principals to the success of students in schools across the United States.
Students may be out of dress code, Friday, April 12 if they bring $1 to purchase a dress code pass. Proceeds go to the RPS Field Day Fund.
It was an RPS sweep at Lace Up For Literacy Saturday. Congratulations to the triplets!
Congratulations to our 2019 Lauderdale County Teachers of the Year. Thank you to Bank of Ripley and members of the Lauderdale County Board of Education for honoring these teachers at last night board meeting.
PTO will be taking Easter Pictures April 4 and 5. The pictures will cost $5. Students will be allowed to dress out of dress code on the day of their picture. Order forms are coming home today in Tuesday folders (with report cards).

Lots of shoppers at the Book Fair tonight at RPS!
RPS is wrapping up their first session of a new program called Journey of Hope. This programs offers students the opportunity to better normalize their emotions and develop positive coping strategies through cooperative play, creative arts and literature. The curriculum deals with fear, anxiety, sadness, anger and aggression, bullying and self-esteem.

RPS Book Fair will be March 11 - 15. Most paperback books cost $3.30 and smencils cost $1.00. Family Night will be March 14 from 5:00 - 6:30.
