
Students learned about construction innovations and built their own tall towers this week in STEM. Teamwork makes the dream work! And those spaghetti structures are NOT easy to make!


RMS Faculty and Staff were treated to an apple bar today! Just a small treat to let them know how much we appreciate them!





STEM celebrated Veterans Day by learning about STEM careers in the military. Students tried on a uniform and learned that the Tennessee Army National Guard Agricultural Development Team taught the farmers modern farming techniques when Ms. Scherer was in Afghanistan.

Mr. Billings’s Flex Friday class is made up of a mixture of students either learning how to play chess or already know the particulars of the game. New players are placed with veteran players who show them how to make the moves. Every game begins and ends with a handshake.




Ms. Byrd coordinated with Beta students to make the Veteran's Day Parade banner. Trevor M. designed the Beta banner and posts! Carlee H. and Andrew B. helped put it together.

Mr. Billings’s ELA class met with friends from Great Britain on a Zoom Meeting learning about a unique and unusual British Holiday celebrated on November 5. Guy Fawkes Day and Bonfire Night. They have been celebrated for 417 years, since 1605.

Last Thursday, Ms. Williams and Ms. Webb's 8th grade Social Studies classes participated in the Tennessee Student Mock Election. They completed ballots and they received "I voted" stickers like their parents and guardians would by voting in the general election.

In STEM, students studied Bernoulli's Principle and folded paper gliders to meet the challenge to fly 15 feet down the runway. Some folded stunt planes and tested them. We have future pilots and engineers!
