Dr.Comer

Dr. Heather Comer has been selected as an Assistant Principal at Ripley High School. She is a graduate of Covington High School and has served as an English-Language Arts and Mathematics classroom teacher for 25 years. During her classroom tenure, she has earned recognition for making a strong impact on student outcomes and for being a model of exemplary teaching.

Dr. Comer has served in various leadership roles including grade-level and department chair. In this capacity, she led data and professional learning meetings to improve student outcomes. She has also served as teacher mentor and Advisor for National Junior Honor Society. Dr. Comer’s experience will lend itself to Ripley High School’s mission of providing high quality instruction and student achievement.  

Dr. Comer holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education from Middle Tennessee State University and Master of Education degree from Cumberland University. She received both her Education Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees from Union University.
