Here is a resource that provides Eureka Math and Wit and Wisdom videos of lessons that parents can use at home.
All you have to do is:
1. Go to Greatminds.org
2. Click on box that says Access Free Resources
3. Next page comes up with orange box, SCROLL down and click on the grade you need.
4. It then takes you to a page that has Wit and Wisdom and Eureka. Alll you have to do is click on the video lesson you want.

Please remember meal pick up for students today at RPS, RHS, or HHS. Meals today will include lunch and breakfast for 2 days. The next meal service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25. Please remember meal service is subject to change based on public safety concerns.

Students at RPS celebrate Kindness Day.

First graders ended their Wit and Wisdom unit on weather with News Channel 5 Meteorologist Jim Jaggers.


The Journey of Hope program from Save the Children grew out of the need for psychosocial services for young children in New Orleans schools after Hurricane Katrina. The program offers children grades K - 2 the opportunity to better normalize their emotions and develop positive coping strategies through cooperative play, creative arts and literature.

Wit and Wisdom covers the digestive system and what better way to understand “the flow” than some hands on activities!


Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The annual event is part of Read Across America, an initiative on reading creative by the National Education Association. RPS celebrated the whole week with dress up days honoring different Dr. Seuss books.




After finishing a Wit and Wisdom unit of how America has changed overtime, the students of Miss Karen Harris’ dressed up in their red, white and blue and paraded down the 2nd grade hall to celebrate the end of the module by singing the song ‘This Land Is Your Land, This Land Is My Land’. They also talked about the upcoming election and voted for class president which ended in a tie for a boy and girl president, this led into the discussion that we ALL can grow up to be president or whatever we want to be.
