Mrs. Chantay Dupree has been selected as principal of Ripley Primary School. Mrs. Dupree has served as an educator in the public school system for the past 19 years. Most recently, Mrs. Dupree served as Assistant Principal at Ripley Middle School for six years. Prior to her administrative responsibilities at RMS, she spent a total of 13 years as a teacher at Ripley Elementary and Dyersburg Middle School. Mrs. Dupree received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1990. She completed the teacher preparation program at the University of Memphis in 1999 and earned a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2003.
While serving in Lauderdale County, Mrs. Dupree has consistently demonstrated her professionalism and tireless work ethic. She has proven to be a strong collaborative leader who will seek input from all stakeholders in her new role.
