8th grade students participated in the Life Maze activity sponsored by Life Choices in Dyersburg, TN. Activities included real-life situations and informed students about healthy and unhealthy choices.





Battle of the Coaches will be held at Halls High on Saturday, October 20! Bell time is 6:00pm. See the attached flyer for more information.


Life Maze information and permission slips will come home with 8th grade students today. These need to be returned by Wednesday, October 17.

Congratulations to the Halls volleyball program. Halls Junior High won the West TN Sectional Tourn. last week and Halls High completed their post-season sweep tonight and will advance to the TN State Tourn. next week in Murfreesboro. GO TIGERS!


Please remember there will be no school on Friday, October 5, due to a staff professional development day. Also, schools will be closed for Fall break during the week of October 8. Have a safe and happy Fall break!

Our football game for tonight has been postponed and will be played on Monday October 1 at 6:30. We will still have 8th grade recognition before the game and it will begin at 6:00.

Common Assessments for the first grading period will begin this week. We encourage all students to attend school and do their best!

8th grade students at HJH are showing their finished products of the different rocks that they made. Tyler has the igneous rock. Richard has the sedimentary rock, and Shak has the metamorphic rock. They learned the rock cycle this week in class.
