HJH recognized 49 students that scored On Track (Level 3) or Mastery (Level 4) on at least 3 common assessment benchmarks. They were given a free dress code pass. Of those students, 23 were a Level 3 or Level 4 in all 4 areas and earned a pizza party/free time!
Your HJH Lady Tigers Volleyball Team will be marching in the Veteran's Day Parade tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the Ripley Court Square!

The after school programs at RPS, RES, RMS, HES, and HJH (Project LEAD and LEAPS) will not be meeting this afternoon due to the prediction of severe weather. Parents--Those students will be dismissed from school at normal dismissal time and ride their regular afternoon bus home.

The Town of Halls has rescheduled Trick-or-Treating due to the threat of heavy rain. It will now be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5:00-8:00.
HJH will host Three Oaks tonight in our first home basketball game of the season. JV game time is 5:00 and Varsity will play at 6:00. #gotigers
8th grade students are doing a speed, velocity, acceleration lab in Science class today! Group members are finding the speed of the car going down a ramp.
We are so excited about our new iPads! 7th grade students enjoyed using technology in their Math class this morning!

During National Custodian Appreciation Day, the AWARE Council from each high school gifted all LCS custodians with treats and a special message. From all Lauderdale County staff and students... “Thanks for all the 'EXTRA' that you 'DEW' to keep our schools safe and clean.”
Students from Ripley Middle and Halls Junior High participated in the 8th Annual FutureStar Youth Summit at UT Martin. We are proud of these students for representing Lauderdale County Schools!

8th grade students participated in the Life Maze activity sponsored by Life Choices in Dyersburg, TN. Activities included real-life situations and informed students about healthy and unhealthy choices.
Battle of the Coaches will be held at Halls High on Saturday, October 20! Bell time is 6:00pm. See the attached flyer for more information.
Life Maze information and permission slips will come home with 8th grade students today. These need to be returned by Wednesday, October 17.
Congratulations to the Halls volleyball program. Halls Junior High won the West TN Sectional Tourn. last week and Halls High completed their post-season sweep tonight and will advance to the TN State Tourn. next week in Murfreesboro. GO TIGERS!
