Lauderdale County Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Kim Marable as the new Director of Elementary and Middle Education. As a proud Halls High School graduate, Marable’s return to the community that helped shape her passion for education is a meaningful homecoming. In this role, she will work closely with school leaders, teachers, and district staff to strengthen instructional practices, support student achievement, and ensure high-quality educational opportunities for elementary and middle school students across the district.
Marable brings more than 20 years of educational experience and leadership to this position. She currently serves as the K-12 Assessment and Accountability Specialist for Rutherford County School District, where she oversees district and state assessments, facilitates professional development, and collaborates with schools to improve student outcomes through data-driven decision making. Prior to this role, she served as Principal of Lascassas Elementary School and Assistant Principal at Blackman Elementary School, providing instructional leadership, supporting teachers, and building strong relationships with students, families, and the community. Marable has also served as an instructional coach, interventionist, and classroom teacher across multiple grade levels. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies K-8 and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University.
Throughout her career, Marable has been recognized for her dedication to education, instructional leadership, and student success. She is passionate about supporting educators, improving student outcomes, and creating meaningful opportunities that help all students thrive academically and personally.
