One lucky Public High School student will win a FREE 2024 Chevrolet Trax from the Express Automotive Group as part of “Keys to Success”. Keys to Success is an initiative sponsored by the Express Automotive Group to improve ACT scores in a four-County area. There will also be $16,500.00 in scholarships awarded to students as part of the program. All Juniors and Seniors from public schools in Tipton, Haywood, Lauderdale, and Dyer counties are eligible to win. This year’s scholarship sponsors are:
- Baptist Memorial Hospital—Tipton $5,000 scholarship
- Bank of Ripley/Bank of Tipton $5,000 scholarship
- Wooten Tractor, Wooten Law Office, and In House Coffee Roasters & Wooten General Store (In honor of Allen Wooten) $2,500 scholarship
- Cannon Chiropractic $1,500 scholarship
- Jere Mason “The Kickin’ Lawyer” $1,500 scholarship
- Brad Carlisle State Farm $1,000 scholarship
The goal of “Keys to Success” is to improve ACT test scores in our public schools in Tipton, Haywood, Lauderdale, and Dyer County. The State of Tennessee requires every student to take the ACT exam. The state assigns every student a projected score—what the student is expected to achieve. Students who achieve their projected score are automatically registered to win the Grand Prize of a 2024 Chevrolet Trax from the Express Automotive Group. Students who achieve an ACT score of 21 or above get a second entry to win the Trax. Students whose ACT score is 30 or above are eligible to win one of the six “Keys to Success” scholarships.
In the coming months, you will see the 2024 Chevrolet Trax EVERYWHERE in Covington, Brownsville, Dyersburg, Ripley, Newbern, Halls, Brighton, Munford, and throughout Dyer, Haywood, Lauderdale, and Tipton Counties.
This is the second year the Express Automotive Group has sponsored “Keys to Success”. Last year, only students from Haywood and Tipton County were eligible. For the 2023-2024 school year, “Keys to Success” has been expanded to include Dyer and Lauderdale Counties. Another enrichment to “Keys to Success” this year is the addition of more scholarships. Last year, students were awarded $4,500 in total scholarships. In 2023-2024, students will win a total of $16,500 in “Keys to Success” scholarship awards!
