Mrs. Eleanor Nunn, of Halls, recently donated $10,000 to the library at Halls Elementary School. The donation honors Mr. Pat Carmack, long-time principal of the school, who retired seven years ago. It also honors the memory of Mrs. Mary Kathryn Troiano, who taught many years at schools in Lauderdale County, including Halls Elementary School, Gates School, and Double Bridges School. Mrs. Beth Keen, Halls Elementary Librarian, spent $1,000 of the donation on books at the library’s recent Scholastic Book Fair. She will spend the rest of the money on other resources. The library serves every student and staff member at Halls Elementary School, so this money is very much appreciated!
