Halls High School

Halls High School is pleased to announce our new Head Boys Basketball Coach and teacher, Spencer Breon Bursey.  Coach Bursey is a former 1994 Ripley High School graduate.  An all-district and all-region player at Ripley High, Bursey signed with Dyersburg State Community College.  In his second season with the Eagles, Bursey was named to Regional NJCAA all-region team. Bursey earned a degree in Justice Services. Bursey went on to play his last two years at Lane College in Jackson, TN. In his last season, Bursey was a team captain.  Coach Bursey has served as an assistant coach at both Ripley High School and Ripley Middle School. Bursey graduated in 2001 with a degree in Criminal Justice. Coach Bursey will be teaching Criminal Justice I, allowing HHS to offer a new course of study for students.
