Mr. James Barbee has been selected as the Director of Technology & Communications for Lauderdale County Schools.  Mr. Barbee is a graduate of Ripley High School and has devoted his educational career Lauderdale County Schools.  Mr. Barbee has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from Union University.  He received his Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2018. 

For the last 3 years, Mr. Barbee has served as the Assistant Principal at Ripley Middle School.  Prior to his role in administration, Mr. Barbee served 5 years as a 6th Grade Math Teacher at Ripley Middle School.  During his time at RMS, he provided technological support and instructional strategies for staff members, developed and monitored the school improvement plan, organized and maintained school-level social media and communication channels, along with a variety of other responsibilities.  Mr. Barbee has a proven dedication and service to Lauderdale County Schools and will do well in his new role.
