All 8th grade students should be enrolled in the “RMS Class of 2025” Google Classroom. Information regarding Programs of Study, upcoming events, deadlines, etc. has been and will continue to be posted here. This Google Classroom will transfer with them to RHS next year. Parents and guardians are welcome to join the class to review posted information as well. To join, follow the steps below:

8th grade students have been given information on each of the RHS Programs of Study. In-person students received hard copies of the information. This information is also displayed in the RMS cafeteria. ALL Programs of Study flyers are available on RMS Class of 2025 Google Classroom as well as Facebook, LCED APP, and the RMS website under “documents”. The purpose of these documents is to help students determine which Program of Study interests them as they prepare for high school registration.
The first week of February, 8th grade students were introduced to YouScience. YouScience is an innovative aptitude and career discovery tool. Students take a series of “brain games” to determine natural abilities (aptitudes) and personal interests. The results are then matched with potential careers which students can explore. The purpose of YouScience is to give students some direction when considering which Program of Study might be a good fit.
Ms. Catherine Thomas, RHS counselor, visited RMS on February 25th and 26th to walk students through the registration process. Students copied course selections on paper, and were directed to take the information home to discuss with parents and guardians. Students were to return the form signed to RMS. The registration link is posted in the Class of 2025 Google Classroom and is open until Friday, March 12th at 3:00PM. Students can make changes to their course selections until that time. After the March 12th deadline, changes can only be made by making an appointment with RHS Counselors.

Registration Presentation: Ms. Thomas’ registration presentation from February 17 is a short video of the information which would usually be presented in the parent meeting held at RHS prior to 8th grade registration.
