The Lauderdale County Board of Education’s May Student Spotlight featured Halls High School students who participated in Education Equal Opportunity Group (EEOG) Student Leadership Conference in Nashville. Halls High School students have participated for the past seven years.  Introduced by Mr. George Thomas, Founder and CEO of the program, and speaking on behalf of the program were freshman Tylan Patrick and sophomore Jameila Pitts.  The students showcased the confidence and skills that the experience provided them.   Pictured from left to right:  Cynthia Lacy-Janes, Adviser and Chaperone, Jameila Pitts, Cedarius Halfacre, Amari Dewalt, My’Anna Jones, Tylan Patrick, Jaylin Parrish, and George Thomas.  Mr. Thomas started the Nashville-based organization on June 14, 2001.  The EEOG mission is to invest in students, create meaningful experiences, and provide pathways for success.
