Title I Program is more than a 40 year old
Federal program designed to give extra help to students who are
experiencing difficulty in Readiness, Reading, and/or Mathematics
Title I - Read Naturally
- A nationally acclaimed, research-proven
individualized program
- Greater fluency and comprehension attained by
students
- Being used at Halls Elementary School and
Ripley Elementary School
Title I - Compass Learning Computer
Labs
- Software provided by Compass Learning, the
nation's largest pre-K through grade 12 educational software
company
- Individualized, interactive program designed
to motivate students by making learning fun
- Addresses all students' learning
styles
- Progress reports generated weekly for
students, teachers, and parents
- Professional development offered through
Compass for teachers and parents
- Used at Halls Elementary School, Lauderdale
Middle School, Ripley Elementary School, Ripley Primary School,
and Halls Junior High School
- Lauderdale County one of three counties in the
state to be recognized in 1997 by Compass Learning for success
with Title I labs
Title II A - Teacher Quality
- Federal program used to ensure teacher
quality, to reduce class size, and to recruit qualified
teachers
Title II D
- Federal program used to enhance education
through technology
Title III
- Federal program used to assist English
language learners
Title IV
- Federal program used to ensure safe and
drug-free schools
Title V
- Federal program used for innovative programs -
In Lauderdale County this funding is used to enhance our
libraries.
Title VI
- Federal program used to assist rural and low
income schools
