Gifted Education
One of the educational options for academically
talented students is the Gifted Program. This program offers
extra challenges for eligible gifted students, in addition to
their regular classroom work. Other options include advanced
placement and accelerated classes.
Special Education Programs
Lauderdale County is committed to the education
of all students. The Special Education programs are an essential
part of that commitment. Programs which vary according to the
individual needs of students include consultative services, resource
programs, community based instruction, and comprehensive developmental
classrooms. The Special Education Department may also provide
related services such as physical or occupational therapy, speech
therapy, counseling, psychological services and transportation.
