Each year during Read Across America Week, RPS collects money to donate to the Lauderdale County Books From Birth program. Books From Birth is part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library that provides books to children birth to age 5. The books are free to the children but there is a cost to the county for postage. This year, RPS raised $1502.33. That equals to 120 children getting books for 1 year or the entire county is covered in postage for about 1 1/2 months. Way to go teachers and students!
