HHS Hosts First Annual "Coffee Talk" for Local Business Leaders

HHS hosted its first business partnership "Coffee Talk" on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.  Business leaders from Lauderdale County and area post-secondary leaders were invited to share information regarding preparing the student body to successfully enter the world of work in their chosen career path.  Future Business Leaders of American, led by Mrs. Cynthia Lacy-Janes, hosted a coffee and pastry bar for the visitors.  HHS staff shared information with business leaders regarding ROAR, FOCUS Friday, and academic preparation while gathering feedback from them relative to opportunities for students.

Following this event, business leaders met with the senior class to stress the importance of the Work Ethic Certificate and the direct link that this achievement in high school holds to success and opportunities in the work place.  This event was coordinated by Ms. Jana Parnell, Mrs. Shelley Smith, and Mrs. Cynthia Lacy-Janes.
