Corry Essary, Assistant Principal

Halls High School is pleased to announce Corry Essary as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Student Support.  Mr. Essary comes to HHS with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from UT Martin, a Master of Arts degree in Education from Union University, and Instructional Leadership Licensure from Bethel University. His nine years of teaching experience include history, business education, personal finance and marketing. He has been a head coach in baseball and cross country, and an assistant football coach.  

 In addition, Mr. Essary served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Dresden for five years which included all aspects of management and public relations. Through community service opportunities, he has served as a Student Ministry Advisor for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and numerous church and community committees.  

On a personal note, Mr. Essary is married with two children, Poston and Davis. His wife, Eva, is also a UTM graduate and educator. 

Mr. Essary will be joining the administrative staff and will assume responsibilities in the areas of athletics, school support organizations, curriculum and student support.
