RMS Students Attend Young Writer's Conference
40 rising scholars went to UT Martin for a young writer’s conference. Students learned about crafting writing in break out sessions focusing on imagery, poetry, allegories, creating characters from behind the mask, and other sessions. Students experimented with different activities to develop their own writing skills and a love of writing. These writing practices are designed to help students succeed in school, college and life. Teachers participated in learning with the students developing writing as a life long habit. Students were able to share writing and interact with authors and professors. So many of the professors and facilitators complimented on how advanced, quality work, and well behaved our students were. This was made possible by the support and effort of RMS administration and Lauderdale Board of Education.
