Mrs. Amy Morgan has been selected to serve as the new principal of Halls High School.  Mrs. Morgan has been an educator in the public school system for the past 28 years.  Most recently, she has served as Assistant Principal at Dyersburg Primary School over the last 8 years.  Among her many roles as a school administrator, she was the chairperson of her school's positive behavior support and interventions program.  Prior to her administrative responsibilities, Mrs. Morgan spent a total of 20 years as a high school teacher.  She taught various science courses including Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, and Biology.  In addition, Mrs. Morgan taught ACT Prep and was the chairperson of the School Improvement Committee.  During her time as a high school teacher, Mrs. Morgan served for several years in the role of Coordinator of Student Activities at Dyersburg High School.

Mrs. Morgan received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1991 and her Master of Educational Leadership degree in 2002 from Trevecca Nazarene University.  Throughout her career, she has demonstrated outstanding professionalism and loyalty to the teachers, students, parents, and school district which she served. It is evident that she will be a strong collaborative leader at Halls High and will seek input from all stakeholders in her new role.
